I have been a Kids Life Coach, for over two decades and during this time, I have worked alone...and I have worked with a global network of coaches who have certified in using my Play Based Coaching System®. So, I know first hand what the difference is. First and foremost, if you are reading this and you are not part of our professional membership, my guess is that your work can at times be isolating. When you’re working solo, it’s easy to fall into a rhythm, with the same approaches and perspectives that you’ve grown comfortable with. For me, I saw how this easily led to what I like to call “tunnel vision”—a limited view of the possibilities and strategies that could be used to better serve the children you work with.
This is where being part of a professional membership of Kids Life Coaches across the world becomes invaluable. It’s not just about networking but it’s about expanding your own vision and gaining fresh insights that can transform your coaching practice. Peer-to-peer networking with other coaches from diverse backgrounds and cultures opens up new ways of thinking, new tools, and even different philosophies that can enhance your coaching techniques.
When you’re constantly engaging with a global community of like-minded professionals, you're no longer confined to the constraints of working in isolation or just being localised in your community. You get the opportunity to exchange ideas, share successes and challenges, and learn from others' experiences who are in the know. This exchange of knowledge brings a wealth of perspectives, helping you see new solutions to problems you may face with specific children, and often sparking creative approaches that you may not have considered on your own.
Being part of this global network also provides support and validation, reminding you that you're not alone in your journey. Whether it’s celebrating your victories or overcoming the inevitable hurdles, the encouragement of peers who understand your struggles and successes can reignite your passion and keep you focused. It's a reminder that we’re all working toward the same goal: empowering children to become the leaders of their own lives.
I created our professional membership offering because being part of a professional membership not only elevates your work, but it also enriches your own personal growth. The diversity of experiences and ideas that come from connecting with coaches around the world makes you a more well-rounded, open-minded, and effective coach. It’s a vital reminder that growth happens when we step out of our comfort zones and welcome new perspectives into our practice.
If you are a Kids Life Studio® coach and you haven't joined our membership as yet, please click here to enrol. If you are a member or a premium student, you are invited to network and collaborate in a peer networking session this Thursday, 20 March 2025. Joining details in our private membership group.
I know that for me, I find these sessions invaluable because perspective is everything and working as a Lone Ranger or as a pigeon pair or in a small closed network, is not something that is conducive to learning and growing professionally.
Come and join us! We look forward to seeing you there!
